Having an author visit your school or organization is a great way to not only get children excited about reading, it also allows the notion of writing or becoming an author to be even more tangible and realistic.

Great for: Schools, Churches, Daycares, Camps, Girl/Boy Scouts, Libraries, Book Fairs, and various community events.

Things to consider before you book an author visit

Think about the type of event you're planning; consider the number of presentations, make up of audience (age and number of participants), as well as the venue.

Choose a date. Please have two or three specific date options in mind.

Budget. What's your budget? Please be prepared to discuss. Will you book a reading with time for Q&A? Do you want to allow time for a workshop that includes writing prompts, guided discussion, and color therapy to promote SEL (social and emotional learning)? Do you want your audience to leave with a personal signed copy of book(s)?
