I Deserve Better! is dedicated to my oldest son, Jadin. It is a glimpse into what he had to deal with growing up, and how I tried to help him overcome and not fall victim to his situation. I was determined to keep his self-esteem elevated, and not allow him to blame himself for the shortcomings of an adult. Books are an amazing tool to get conversations started with children, but I noticed that there really weren't any books on this specific topic. So with his permission, I shared J's story in an effort to connect with kids who can relate, and hopefully make a positive impact.
